Due to arrive in Ireland later this year, the Renault Clio is set for a facelift. Renault have decided that the fourth-generation Clio needed a couple of changes. It is believed that this midlife facelift will include a host of updates to the interior and exterior of the car as well as updating the technology on-board.
Starting at the front, Renault will include their C-shaped daytime running LED lights along with a new front grille. Moving to the rear, new skirts have been added to increase robustness.
Renault will offer a lot more customisation and personalisation options similar to the Kadjar, Captur and Clio, including alloy wheels and colours. A total of four new colours have been added; Mars Red, Titanium Grey, Arctic White and Iron Blue.
A new interior lay out with updated technology options including a Bose Sound System, Media Nav Evolution, Renault R-Link Evolution and the new R&GO will also be available on selected models. The Renault Clio depending on trim will include reversing and parking sensors on the front and rear as well as a reversing camera on some of the top-level specifications.
The Clio’s engines have also been updated with the 1.5-litre dCi 110 and TCe 120 engines set to be included, meaning the new Renault Clio will have 6 speed manual transmissions. This means the Clio has one of the most extensive powertrain ranges with a huge choice of up to 11 different option available between engines and transmission.
